Enchanting Kerala Tour

Overview :  This 7 days 6 nights Kerala Tour gives you the privilege to spend your vacations in the major tourist destinations of Kerala. You start from Cochin, visit this coastal city and have the adventure of visiting Periyar National Park, encountering the local fauna. You also get to see Thekkady and Kummarkom and end your tour in Trivandrum.

Day - 01 : Arrival Cochin

You arrive at the Cochin airport our company representative will meet and greet you at the Airport; he will take you to your respective hotel. After check in relax for a while, enjoy your lunch we set off to explore Cochin. Cochin since ages has been a very important sea port. Black pepper in medieval ages was more valuable than gold and traders used to come here for its sake. We start our tour of Cochin with a professional tour guide we start with a visit to a Jewish synagogue. The pardesi synagogue was constructed in 1568; the architecture of this synagogue is unique. A visit to international pepper exchange very near, we also visit one of the oldest churches in India. Santa Cruz Basilica, St Francis church. Cochin is also known for its unique fishing nets often called as Chinese fishing nets these nets operate with help of counter weights. These line the Kochi sea front. Later in the evening enjoy a live performance of Kathakali dance. This is a form of classical dance from south India.  Enjoy overnight at Cochin.

Day - 02 : Cochin – Periyar-Thekkady

After breakfast we set off to Periyar National Park, This Park is situated on the banks of Periyar River. On your way to Thekkady (Periyar) you will pass by lush green tea plantations, typical ethnic houses, lush green hills will amuse you. Periyar national Park is famous for the Neelgiri Thar. This is an Ibex species found over here only in the region. You can sight many other species of animals like, Tiger, Elephants, wild Dogs, antelopes, site many exotic species of birds over here. Take a rafting excursion on the Periyar River riding specially prepared Bamboo rafts, more wild life you will come across on this ride. After the visit we drive you to your respective resort where you enjoy lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a visit to local coffee Plantations and spice plantations, if interested you can explore the local spice market. Enjoy overnight at a resort in the Thekkady.

Day - 03 : Thekkady

After a leisure breakfast, today we have arranged a very special activity for you. Your experienced tour guide will take you for a jungle walk. He will take you deep into the forest maximizing your chances of wild life sighting experience. If interested an elephant ride can be arranged for you. Enjoy overnight at Thekkady.

Day - 04 : Thekkady-Kummarkom-Alleppey

After breakfast we set off to Kummarkom. This is the gateway to the backwaters. The backwaters are an extensive network of streams, lakes, rivers and canals giving birth to a unique culture dependant on theses water ways. The area has a distinct flora and fauna. Kumarokom is also famous for its traditional boat races, on the special occasion of Onam festival well decorated traditional boats race down the lake very well cheered by the on looking crowds. Check in to your respective house boat (rice barge) these house boats are very well equipped with all creature comforts and will facilitate your experience of these amazing water ways. Overnight in houseboat.

Day - 05 : Alleppey-Kovalam

 Enjoy the morning leisurely cruising aboard your houseboat, experiences the rustic local life of the dwellers. You arrive in “Alleppey” this is the Venice of the east. These water channels are the life line of Alleppey; this is also a port city with a beach known as Allapuzha beach. We disembark from the house boat and drive to Kovalam. Kovalam is a beach paradise famous for its lovely white sand beaches. Enjoy basking in sun idling at the beach

Day - 06 : Kovalam-Kanyakumari-Kovalam

Today after breakfast we drive to the southernmost tip of peninsular India. This place called as kanya Kumari it is known to have magical powers. It is here that the Indian land mass ends into the confluence of Indian Ocean with Arabian Sea and Bengal Sea, It’s a noted pilgrimage site famous for the Bagavathi Amman temple dedicated to lord Shiva. You can visit Lady of Ramson Church which is center of Indian Catholicism. ST. Thomas an apostle delivered the message of Christianity to India (over here in Kerala), one of the oldest forms of Christianity still survives in Kerala. You can also visit Vivekananda rock a place in memory of the 19^th century religion social reformer and a light house used by metro logical department to study the incoming monsoon. Do see the sunset at the Kanyakumari as the sun takes a dip in the Arabian Sea.  Enjoy overnight at Kovalam.

Day - 07 : Kovalam-Trivandrum

After breakfast we drive to Trivandrum. If interested you can enjoy the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum proceeding later to the airport to board your flight.
